I've got a Dell d600 that's 10mos old. When I 1st got it temps hovered around 37C. in the last few months the temps have risen and now it runs around 47-49C? The internal fan is running. I've blown out the areas where dust may accumulate. I have one of those Targus stands that keeps it elevated. I now have to have a fan behind the notebook blowing air to keep temps down. Why is is getting hotter? Should I purchase a Notebook "cooler"? Is this temp OK? My Notebook is on all day as I use for work.

Where are you reading these temps from? If they are CPU temps then they are absolutely fine. My Athlon XP runs around 50*C

I'm using SpeedFan to monitor temps.

I'd say that's the CPU temp then, and if it is it's totally fine. Don't loose any sleep over it!
