Comment:

hello

I want to decrease my Cpu freqency but I cant find the Cpu clock ratio in the cpu setup menu in QDI PlatiniX 2E mobo Bios. Can I unlock the Cpu clock ratio item or is it locked forever.
Am I having any other problems that I dont know about?
Cheers

"why you want to underclock your cpu?"
Because I try to run win 98 but I cant cause the Ndis will not load if the cpu is faster than 2.1Ghz. So I thought that if I underclock my cpu I can run win 98 untill I get a copy of win 2000.

Go into the BIOS, change the FSB to 100MHz not 133MHz.

If you do underclock, isn't that just wasteing the money you spent on your cpu?

I just want to be able to use my computer, 2.2ghz and over dont work whith windows 98, sometimes or always I dont know, and I dont have win 2000 yet. Its better than 600 mhz which I have for the moment.

Ive unistalled win 98 though and hoping for tomorrow, which is my birthday, maybe a working OS in the mail.
