dead cpu?

i think my cpu is dead mobo is fine video cards fine hdd is fine ram is fine PSU fine screen fine
so i can only think it would b the cpu, THE PROBLEM: when i turn on my computer it all seams fine but it wont display anything on the screen
how can i test to see if my cpu is working

Wow! That's an oldie...
When you boot your system, does it POST? Do you get a beep? Do all the lights & everything come on as usual & does the HDD click away like it's loading Windows? Or do the lights flash & everything stops?
If it seems to be POSTing & the HDD seems to be loading, I'd suspect the videocard or the monitor...if not, it's probably your CPU.

The other possible particlarly for those old mobos, is the BIOS battery. Usually, you can get a replacement from Radio Shack. You will need a elelctronics soldering iron and solder. :)
