Hey there,
I want to set my DDR timings to get good results but not REALLY GOOD results that can make me unstable. Just good results better than the BIOS's defaults.
I have 2x512MB MUSHKIN sticks, one which operates at 2.5-3-3-8(200MHz) and the other at 2-3-3-6(133MHz)/2.5-4-4-9(200MHz)
I don't know why I got 133MHz on the second one, when I bought it it said to be 2-3-3-6 and should operate at 200Mhz..
Anyway, both working DUAL on 400MHz (CPU/DDR Ratio 2/2) and the BIOS gave me some crappy defaults I want to make better.

I changed it to 2-3-3-6. What do you think?
Besides that, I also have other options I know nothing about... What to set in those?

(See picture, all the settings are default except the first 4)

Thanks in advance,
XerionX.

Try CPUZ & click on the SPD tab. It will give you the default timings for your RAM at 133, 166, & 200MHz.

I see your command rate is set at 2T...if you can set it to 1T, that *should* offer more performance than any timing changes. Also, knowing what CPU you're running may be helpful.

You can also change the voltage of the RAM and get lower timing results. Assuming you have the value series, I would stay below 2.75v for safety and it should not violate Mushkin's warranty policy... I would also download memtest86 and run it at 2-3-3-6 @ 2.75v to see if it gives out any errors during the test. If not, then you can change it to lower like 2-3-2-6... etc.. Assuming you have northbridge on your motherboard, raising the northbridge voltage can help you to get lower timing result... i.e on my P5P800-SE and I set the AGP VDDQ voltage (northbridge voltage) from 1.5v to 1.7v, then I can run my OCZ platnium RAM from 2-3-2-5 to 2-2-2-5 @ 2.85v.. On the ones with PCI-E, it should be chipset voltage or N/B voltage... So you should try those out to see if it helps...

Thanks for the replys!
Though, it does not help me much, since I might have wrote it differently than what I meant.

I have a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice Core.
(Just for you to know...)

I want to tweak the other settings, not the first four in the picture.
I am pleased with 2-3-3-6, and I ran Everest Ultimate Memory Test, which my computer handled very well.
Since the BIOS's defaults for the first four were low, I had to make them better. Now I don't understand what the others are, but I guess they are crappy aswell, and I want to tweak'em... Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance,
XerionX.
