The question is

"Have you got any advice!" Done custom builds before but this is the first time im using a 3100+ Sempron.

Just wondering if theres gonna be any conflictions or if anyone out there can recomend a different setup for roughly the same price.

Regarding the video card ive a radeon 9200se lined up, 128mb.

PCChips are low end boards. The one you've chosen is for socket A CPUs, not socket 754. The 3100+ Sempron will not work.

I don't know about the RAM...you've given no brand name. I'm not familiar with Excelstor HDDs either. I take it you don't live in the US?

The Radeon 9200SE is a low end 64-bit card. I don't know what your plans are, but that card is definitely not for gaming.

As you take an ATA133 board better choose an ATA133 harddrive because it will be faster.
It makes no sense to cut down the possible speed there for a handful bucks!

The only manufacturer of ATA133 drives is Maxtor, and in no way would I ever recomended Crapstor drives to anyone. Besides, the difference between ATA100 and ATA133 is that negligible you wouldn't even notice it. Your better off putting your money into something like the Seagate 7200.7 series of SATA drives, or even better the 10K RPM Raptor series from Western Digital. Just my AU$0.02 worth.

Computer nut since 1985 and still loving it...

from my experience value ram can be crappy, specially with motherboards that are picky on the ram they want. so make sure you check the motherboards website to see if they have certified ram for it.

Samsung makes the Spin Point series in ata/133. I have 3 of them in my current system and no problems at all.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
