Hi,

I just updated my nVidia drivers, the new 93.71 are out..
So i installed them and then coolbits and then i wanted to put my clocks back to 720/1750 (650/1600 is default, had 720/1750 for a while now no problem with old drivers) But now coolbits wont allow me to put them that high anymore...

I tried "Detect optimal ferq." and it came up with 696/1690 at best and wont allow me to go any further, eventhough it's perfecly stable at 720/1750...

So then i tried OCing with Asus SmartDocter, but for some reason, it will only remember the memory clock when i reboot and the GPU clock will be back to default again and i have to set it back to 720 everytime i reboot...

So is there any way i can modify Coolbits? or do i have to use another OCing tool..?

Thanks.

If it worked before the driver update, it may have something to do with the new drivers. Unistall them & go back to your previous driver, then see if you can O/C to the same settings again....

thanks jam, yeah it was the new driver.. not only did it not allow me to oc to high clocks, it also gave me lock-ups and massive during games...

So i wouldn't recommend the new 93.71 driver to anyone who has a 7900GTX chip!

I use PowerStrip and do have Coolbit enabled, but I use PowerStrip primarily to overclock and enabled Coobit so that I have access to the overclock section within the NVIDIA control panel as well as other related settings when I need to use them.

I have Forceware 93.71 as well but have no problem with it so far.

Well.. i have no idea why it is giving me problems, tried reinstalling them agian but with same problems, so i quess i'll have to stick to the 91.47s which are working perfect for me anyway, or did they change something big in 93.71..?
