OS: Windows Xp Professional
CPU/Ram: 1 gig of ram

ok, i just got a comp built a few months ago, but i got interested in if the temp is high or low etc, so i checked it out
and it said that my cpu is running at 36c/96c and that my system is running at 29c/ i cant remember what the other number was

is this a good temp?

I think you mean 36c/96F - - pretty much the temperature of a really warm day in the summer, so... I wouldn't 'sweat it'

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

i need to clean the two outside fans as well, so ill do that tomorrow.

would that lowe the temp?

heck, my cpu is hotter than 36c 10 seconds after i turn it on... that is a great temp

Well, sure, you want the best possible airflow, so by all means keep the vents clean

Point is though, you've nothing to worry about heat-wise. CPUs can tolerate far higher temperatures than humans can.

If things get too hot, the system will either shut down or warn you, depending on your CPU and settings

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

Sure thing - most people would be quite pleased with a 'cool' machine like that. Folks tend to worry when things get into the 60 - 70°C range, but 'normal' depends on your specific CPU model

yea and i cannot remember what mdel etc i had installed, becuase it was built by what i wanted, but im gonna check it out when i open it up sometime

hi, my cpu temp is usually 42ºC, but when i play some game or run applications, temp is about 55ºC, and my cpu low limit is 55 and 60 is high limit, so when is going to 60, i have a system alert and i need to restart imidiatly...
can you help me to solve this problem?
