Im presently runing a 1.6mhz AMD on a KX18DPRO mobo with 128m. I want to up grade the cpu to a AMD Athlon XP 3200+ "Barton", 400MHz FSB, 512K Cache and the memory to Corsair Value Select (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 512MBx2 DDR PC-3200.
Please let me know what you think of this config. I have not done a cpu upgrade before. Will I have to reinstall windows?
Any advice will be most appreciated:)

Here's what i'd say: "Wrong"
But: If the CPU you buy, is compatible with 333mhz FSB then i would say go for it, cause your board only supports up to 333mhz FSB, but even if so, you prob should find either a new MB so that the CPU can reach its full potential, or get a CPU that is not so beefy (lol)
P.S. i was not trying to sound like an ass in the beginning, so if you took it that way, i am sorry

AMD does make a 333Mhz Barton 3200+ that runs at 2333Mhz. That would likely be the most suitable chip for your board even though Albatron says 400Mhz fsb is available by overclocking.
