Hi! I've been having trouble with my cpu lately. When I bought it, it ran for a good 3 months at 1.53GhZ (it's an athlon xp1800+). Then, for no apparent reason, I noticed that at boot-up it showed me that my cpu was 1150mhz. This really had me worried and I even noticed the effects (in games and such). It's as if someone shaved off 400mhz just like that!

I'm not computer illiterate, nor am I a genius but this has me stumped. I downloaded an analyzation program and generated this txt file that shows my details.

Here are all the details

I would appreciate any help at all. Thanks!

It sounds like the BIOS got changed from 133 MHz FSB back to 100 MHz FSB in the processor setup screen.

thank you sterling! That would make sense... just wondering, should I change both the ram and cpu speed to 133 or just one of them?

(the setting goes 100/100, I suppose I should make it 133/133)
