Whenever I download files from the internet,or runs dvdx,my cpu rises to 100% and stays there till the end of the download or till whenever I close dvdx.My cpu teperature stays under 50%.Is it normal?

You using an ISA nic? What nic are you using? MPEG2 processing is very cpu intensive and will use 100% of the cpu when doing an encoding.
