I was curious as if it was possible to upgrade my T3200 Pentium Dual-Core (2ghz) to a faster, more reliable processor.

My laptop is usually used for General purpose, but Gaming is included... my Chipset can handle some top-notch games, but my processor is like the Atari compared to todays Tech specs.

Top notch games? The X4500 is a poor graphics processor for gaming. You play any modern 3D demanding games on it and it will choke pretty fast. I doubt it will even play Crysis even at the lowest setting. But for anything else it's pretty decent for common task and even watching HD movies on. So if you are looking to get a better processor for gaming perfomances than you are wasting your money, because regardless of what processor you put in there, the reality is you will always be held back by the X4500 IGP in terms of playing modern games decently and no processor upgrade will make any diff in that area.

Thanks for the info. :)

To be honest, GTA 4 graphics were fine, the only thing that killed my computer was the my P.O.S. Dual-Core. Well... each core was running at 99%...

But games like UT3 work fine... minimal lag, thus I asked.

Would it be smart to upgrade my CPU anyway for a "tiny" bit more performance?

Playing older games like GTA 4 are fine on the X4500. That's not the problem. The problem is when you play new 3D demanding games that's the problem. The GPU is your problem and throwing an extra 200+ dollars on a high performance mobile processor will be a complete waste of money, because you aren't going to see any noticeable diff in performance gain due the the weak X4500 IGP. The X4500 IGP is your dead weight and there is nothing you can do about that other then buying a gaming laptop.
