CPU upgrade problem, help in urgent

I have a Mobo ASUS P4P800SE, Chipset 865PE& ICH5R. BIOS ver 1008. When upgrade to pentium4 3.0/1M/800 I received message during start-up 'Intel CPU uCode loading error'. 'Press F1 to resume'. I have check with ASUS website and know that my Mobo& BIOS version support this CPU. What can I do now? Any help would be appreciated!!!

are you sure your mobo surports PRESCOTT "1mb L2 cache" and that you should be using NORTHWOOD core versions with 512kb L2 cache have a look good luck Damian
This table show that Bios ver 1006 can suppor the CPU. Another thing, my Bios ver 1008 the mobo really work fine. Any way to fix this without update Bios? Is it the CPU problem? or I have a faulty mobo? thank you for your help!

try flashing to 1011 as Jam says if not it has to be a faulty cpu or motherboard good luck Damian
