CPU Underclocking

Hi, I read this question on itmob.com.
"Anybody here know how to fix it?? I tried to swap the P-M 705 for a P-M 745 (1.8GHz 2MB L2) but it would not work at any higher than 600MHz, so I thought it was just not compatible, so I returned it. But when I swapped the 1.5GHz back in, it too would no longer go higher than 600MHz. I did a format after each time I changed processors. I downloaded the latest chipset utility from intel. I checked the BIOS if I can manually clock my processor. And I changed my power management scheme to minimal power management. But none of this helped..... Please help with any suggestions you can offer."

Summary: 1st of all, it's 9 x 266MHz, not 233MHz. And 2.4GHz is 2.4GHz. There *may* be some added heat due to the faster FSB setting, but it won't be significant. The motherboard chipset would be affected more...
Summary: I recently bought a used eMachine AMD 1800+. I ran SANDRA utilities for benchmark checks and found two anomalies. One shows the FSB as 2x134 MHz (268 MHz data rate). Could be read error? The other...
Summary: humm.. sounds like its a jumper problem.. doesn't your MOBO have a Jumper to Switch it from a 100mhz bus to a 133mhz bus.. cuss it can handle Durons and Tbirds 1.4 if the Cpu has the true 133mhz bus x...
