Specs:
AMD Athalon Tbird 800 Mhz
Asus A7v MB
30 GB 7200 rpm HD
385 MB PC 133 RAM
nVidia GeForce 2 MX 400 64 MB AGP
Win 98 SE
Fans:
-One retail CPU fan that came with the CPU
-One HD fan
-One case fan
-One Power Supply Fan.
I've been having numerous different errors over the last few months, I have switched OSes (from win 98 to XP pro, back to 98) and have formatted many times, I still am getting errors. I was wondering if my CPU temp could be the problem, it is not overlcocked and is running at 55 - 61 degrees celsius (131-143 degrees Faranheit). Could this maybe be the problem?
Thanks alot,
Tony

I don't wanna start another CPU temp debate, but based on what I've read in other posts in this forum (& my own experiences with AMD Durons), your temps are in the "normal" range under load. If these are idle temps, they're a bit high.

Where do you have your case fan placed? does it exhaust warm air out, or drawn fresh air in?

It might help if you explain what type of errors you're getting & what you're doing at the time they occur...

Sorry about that. I was getting registry errors and illegal operations in Windows XP. I can't tell you exactly when they happened, since they seemed very random. Then I reformatted, reloaded win 98 and still got registry corruption errors, as well as a slew of illegal operations, again, it seemed, for no particular reason.
My Power Supply is a 300W btw.
Thanks!
