hello all.
I just received this xps 630i replacement pc from dell last week. it uses a core 2 duo E4600 processor 2.4ghz. i have not overclocked anything. i checked the cpu temps and it has cpu 1 at 55 celsius idle. and cpu 2 55 celsius idle. this seems to be a bit hot for a core 2. what do you think.

How did you check the cpu temperatures ? Try going into the BIOS to check them if you can. 55 celsius is high if you're not doing any cpu intensive tasks.

umm i actually checked the cpu temp in nvidia monitor this tool comes with the xps 630 now it says 62 celsius. but i checked in everest ultimate and it says temperature cpu #1 core # 2 is 20. and cpu # 1 core # 1 is 20 then temperature cpu 38. must be a problem with nv monitor so.

I wouldn't trust nvidia monitor. Everest is probably much closer to the correct reading, but I would still check in the BIOS to be more sure.
