CPU Temperature

My comp is at a temperature of 108 degrees F. I want to cool it down but I have no cash, even for the compound and I'm not about to wait for it to get here. Any ideas? Thanks

We need more info than that. Is that your system temp or CPU temp? 108F is about 42C, which really isn't too bad for a Duron...it depends if it's at idle or under load? What speed is your Duron? Is it overclocked? I'm sure there's some type of thermal material in use...maybe a pad...but changing over to paste probably won't make any difference. What mobo do you have? How many case fans? What's your avg room temp? Have you tried running cooling software?

108°F is pretty cool for a Duron. Like jam said, make sure that's your CPU temp.
I'm curious as to what you had planned when you said:
"I have no cash, even for the compound and I'm not about to wait for it to get here."
Gonna put it in the fridge?

You should be able to check temps in bios to verify temp readings shown under most reporting programs.
