cpu temp too high

I recently got a new pc and i have been checking the temperature regulary through bios everytime i have noticed it has been abit high running around 45 degrees fairly constantly the pc consists of intel dual core e8500(3.16ghz) 2 gig of ram ( 2 1 gig sticks) gigabyte 260 gtx asus p5q se-r and the case i am using is a antec 900 the case has 4 fans which i ahve turne up all to high which didnt lower the temperatre at all i am not sure what to do or if the temperature being at 45 degrees will lead to future problems or decrease the pcs performance i ahve a few freidns runnings imilar rigs with the same case and they have all managed to ahve a good cpu temperature with the fans on lower settings any adivce would be appreciated thanks

45 degrees Celsius is really not that high, and it certainly should not cause any problems. Does it remain near that temperature when under load and not just idle ? Are you using the stock cooler that came with the cpu ? If yes, you could get a better third party HS/F.

45 is nothing to worry about. Just watch the load temperature. As long as it doesn't exceed around 70, the CPU will be fine.
With my P182's fans all running at their lowest speed, my 3.2 Opteron idles at 54C and never exceeds 68 under load. 45 sounds pretty good to me. :)
