First off I have another computer and was curious to check my CPU temps. Comp specs and they suck like hell:
600mhz intel p3
Slot1 Cartridge

I have been running this computer for many years. I have 4 fans on my CPU heatsink. Sissoft Sandra tells me the cpu is 146.4C/295.5F. CPU Core Power: 17W
CPU Cooling System Thermal Resistance: 7.32C/W
CPU Voltage: 1.69V

The processor doesn't feel hot. I don't know if it is defected sensors.

Still 300F I could be cooking a pizza in it.

For one thing the autoshut down feature would of shut down the pc already so it is probably an defection or old system hardware/software.

Go check the temp figures reported in the BIOS, if the figures match Sandra's, you should check to see if you have a BIOS update available for your motherboard.
