Reply: (edit)You have a gateway. Clockgen might work for you, but then again, it didn't work for me, it just froze my machines. You would have to buy a motherboard to enable you to overclock. Jim R

Reply: (edit)The question makes very little sence. Compare "How do I make my car engine go faster? I know very little about cars and don't know what engine even is." Time for some reading? Nigel I support Bigger feet for rabbits

Reply: (edit)Yeah you can't do much with namebrand pc's and you aren't going to when it comes to overclocking. if you can't lock the pci/agp bus you may be able to gain on avg 100mhz more before your system is going to start becming unstable. Namebrand motherboard may look the same as a retail one but the big diff is a namebrand motherboard bios is designed diff then a retail version of the same kind. Now if you have nothing to lose you can try to find out who makes your motherboard and reflash the bios off of their site even though there flash rom for the retail version of that motherboard, but that flash may give you the retail version of the bios update instead which will unlock everything like a retail bios. I've seen that done before, but that's highly risky. or you can buy a new retail motherboard in which i would do.
