Ok ive had this comp for awhile and i know for a fact that it isnt overheating because of temperature monitors. My motherboard has an overclocking utility which let me up the CPU to 3. But i decided to stick it safe with 2.9GHz. Its a P4 Northwood 800FSB w/HT normally at 2.6GHz. Now suddenly my comp restarts by itself every few hours even though the temp monitor never goes above 40 degrees C. However my PSU is 150W which I think might be the reason my comp randomly restarts. Could the machine not be getting enough juice? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

just for clarification when i say restart i mean the screen just flashes off and the computer restarts. like a split second thing. no freezing or time between when it shuts off and turns on again.

Thanks guys just making sure :P. Been making computers for 5 years never had to mess with a power supply before. this is what happens when u try to make a gaming machine for under $300:D. The only thing i havent replaced in the case is the power supply. soon this machine will be all me:P. Gateway case haha. Now the only problem is finding a cheap micro ATX PSU. any recommendations?

I've just had a look at the psu you mention:
http://www.outletpc.com/c0833.html

You will get no gains from this! +12v is very low.
You should be looking for a psu with a minimum of 18amps on the +12. This psu will not perform well, hence it's low price.

The second one you have chosen has much better specs.
But, I agree with indigian, try for one with the same, or better specs but of better quality. I know it's down to the cost, but in the long run it will pay off to spend a little more for a better quality and usually more stable and long lasting psu.
It will also mean that for future upgrades you have a psu that will be suitable therefore saving you from having to buy another.
