cpu not detecting monitor

July 9, 2011 at 10:48:04
Specs: Windows Vista
My CPU is not detecting the acer monitor. Monitor shows '' No Signal". On switching the power on, the LED light does not come up neither the beep sound. The fan is working. Optical mouse lights up but no lights on keyboard. Is it a motherboard issue? The computer was working fine for the past two years.

"My CPU is not detecting the acer monitor"

The CPU is a chip that fits in a socket on the motherboard.

Your monitor is not receiving a signal from the video card (or integrated graphics), therefore, "no signal" message. My guess is your power supply is bad.
