I have a movie on my PC that I'd like to play. The resolution of this film is very high, 1920x1080, which causes my CPU to play some parts of the film in slow motion. I have a Pentium Dual Core 2160 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a Sapphire Radeon HD2600 Pro video card.
On the box, this card is advertised as being able to offload high resolution video processing from my CPU. How do I use this feature. Thanks.

I would read the manual. Download the manual or use the cd install disk and look at the manual on there. I would think your answer is right at your fingertips.

What type of video is it? Not all video can be accelerated by your graphics card.
I don't use ATI anymore, but with my nVidia cards, hardware assist for video playback is enabled as soon as the drivers are installed.
If you're trying to play an HD-DVD or Blu-ray disk in PowerDVD, make sure that ATI Avivo is enabled in the Video tab of the options box.
