My sig is out of date and i dont feel like updating it. i have a MSI nforce650 based motherboard and a core 2 duo e4300. my problem is that cpu-z reports my multiplier dropping from 9x to 6x everytime the cpu stops doing powerful tasks. at first i thought it was eist but i checked in the bios and i have it disabled. could anything else be causing this?

indeed it is. especially when as a college student procastinating seems to be my job. so im assuming theres no way to set something up to disable eist every startup? ive been looking around and have found nothing useful.
