Hello, I'm not anywhere near a computer expert so excuse any of my lack of knowledge.

I've had this computer working fine for a year, but only now I started caring if it won't suddently explode/break or malfunction.. So I installed SpeedFan and the results are worrying me:

~52ºC when CPU usage is at 0%, and ~60-70ºC when I'm playing World of Warcraft, or using my art programs.

My brother installed this fan for me because my last one was too noisy, back then he said this should be fine but I don't live with him anymore nor I can contact him for information, so I came here to ask if I should be worry and/or if there's something I can/should modify and how.

Thanks in advance!

Can't help without knowing which CPU you have. Some CPUs such as the P4 Prescott tend to run hot...if that's what you have, your tempps are fairly typical. When's the last time you blew the dust out of your case? Never use a vacuum due to the static charge that build up in the hose.

A good advice: If it suddenly says click, turns strange and colors start to mix up, then stop playing on it until the summer is over. Do something else in your vaccation, or game outdoor.
You can also get a new cooling, but I actually doubt that it would change anything and since you are not an expert, then don't start to explore your hardware.

Thanks for such quick replies!

This is what the system properties tell me:
Intel(R)
Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz
2.80GHz, 1,00GB of RAM

I've cleaned it around 4 months ago, and it doesn't seem dusty to me at the moment. I tend to be careful with that because my last motherboard burnt because of too much dust in the fan.

Although I'm no expert, I can follow instructions easy, it's usually me who fixes my own computer problems after a little internet search.

The question still remains, are those temperatures something I should be worried about? I really don't like the little flame behind my CPU temp..

Thanks in advance and sorry for the bother!
