im having problem with my system under windows xp it is rebooting by itself whatever im doing so im looking for a solution can u help me to find a way to resolve this problem ?
I have these hardware:
ahtlon xp 2100+
512 meg ram ddr
geforce 4 ti4200 64 meg
sblaster live
motherboard ecs l7vta
harddrive 80 gig
dvd
cd writer

If you think the system is overheating you should post the system temperatures. If you dont know what the system temperatures are you should try to figure them out. There is plenty of freeware(i.e. Motherboard Monitor) out there that can give you temps. What kind of case to do you have, how many fans does it have and in what direction are they running? What CPU fan and heatsink are you using? As well, what kind of situations cause the system to crash. Gaming, idling, a single application, or multitasking?

Physically remove and also disable in device manager the sblaster card, dvd and cd-writer and reboot. This will test to see if its a power supply overload or an irq conflict because of the sound card. If it still reboots then you have ruled out these two causes.
If it is stable, try it with everything but the sound card. If it is then unstable it is a power supply overload.
If it is stable then it is a sound card device conflict. Sound cards do not like sharing irq's with video cards, so you need to go into device manager and make sure that the sound card and video card have different irq's.
Not sure why you mentioned overheating. Give us all the symptoms or we're just guessing. Actually, we're just guessing anyway.
