I connected everything on my comp and my CPU fan wont start. I even tried it with the stock intel fan, and it still wouldn't spin...other fan connectors do not work as well. System Specs: Asus P4B533 mobo P4 2.0 GHz processor 512 MB RAM 400W Power Supply 6 160 GB HD; 1 30 GB HD Swiftech MCX4000 Heatsink w/ TMD Fan Creative 52X CD-ROM *Note: The computer does boot, just that the CPU fan doesnt go...does the CPU fan not start until later in the Boot cycle?

The fan should start as soon as you press the power switch, you could try plugging the fan into one of your 4 pin power sockets if you have any spare but you will need a small adapter to change it from the 3 pin mobo connector to a 4 pin that way if it dosn't spin its more than likely your fan faulty or you could just try another fan(there not very expensive) either way I wouldnt recommend running your pc for to long without a working fan.

I used multiple fans, but each of them does not start up...is it a possible motherboard failure?

try different pins on your motherboard. try different cords on your poewrsupply. if they dont work it may be its the fan itself, maybe the little plug has been damaged somehow.
