CPU Clocking on ASUS A7N8X-E

I'm having trouble clocking a processor to the right speed. The fastest it will set to is 1300. The chip is a 3000. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I don't do this all the time but I've gone through the manual for the mother board and have found nothing. Is it a jumper setting? When I change the setting. I log into window and check the speed under My Computer / Manage. setting reads 1300.

Change the CPU_FSB jumper on the motherboard...your's is set to "200FSB Only" (100MHz). Check your manual, the jumper is just to the left of the chipset

FYI, there are 2 flavors of the Barton 3000+
0. Athlon XP 3000+ - 2166MHz (166x13.0) 1. Athlon XP 3000+ - 2100MHz (200x10.5)
I assume you've got the 2166MHz version.
There is only one satisfying way to boot a computer.
