Comment: I realise this is probably a repeated question, but I have been struggling to find decent answer. I am buying a new PC and it will be predominantly for gaming. My choice of CPU's is either the AMD 4000 San diego or the AMD 4400 X2 Dual core. I am not sure which option would be best?

Reply: (edit)Personally, I wouldn't go for the X2 just yet. It's currently of little benefit to gaming. I suggest either the 3200+ Venice or 3700+ San Diego. As long as you get a decent board that will support the X2, you can always upgrade in the future when the prices come down & there's a real need for dual core. Don't forget, the M2 platform will be released shortly...I'm guessing that once it's readily available, there will be some restructuring of S939 pricing Hellz Yea!
