My CPU gets stuck at 100% all the time. It's nothing to do with explorer.exe as I have seen in some threds ...I think mine is a virus but NOD32 and an assortment of syware adware programmes don't show anything. I have had this now for months. Fresh install and format many times did nothing. Pissed me off so bad I bought a new machine and hard drive. Soon as I plugged my backup drive in the new machine and began copying files it started again. Am about to smash this thing...Please help

i have the same I also have a CPU usage of 100% and it's got nothing to do with any of the processes in windows task manager. I can close or open any new program or process, but the computer still runs at 100% CPU.. It's been this way since i bought it, 2 months ago.
What can i do about it?

Summary: Press ctrl+alt+del to open task manager. Now scroll for whatever you did to make cpu ultilization go up to 100%. Now see which program is using the 100% under processes.. i.e explorer.exe CPU @ 100...
