Hi, I've just upgraded from a Duron 1800 to an Athlon Mobile 2800+ on a Mercury KOB KM266 FDSMx. The clock speed should be 2.13Ghz but is only reading Athlon 2000+ and running at 1.6Ghz!!! Please can someone tell me how to sort this out and get it running at the correct speed. Many thanks

To get the CPU to run at the proper speed, the BIOS settings MUST be manually configured. Of course, your BIOS will have to allow manual adjustments.
I was running my AXP-M 2400+ at 2.2GHz (11 x 200MHz) on an ASUS A7N8X-X & also on a Shuttle AN35N Ultra, but both boards allow full adjustment of CPU settings (multiplier, FSB, voltage, etc).

I had the same with my mobile cpu. I had the Bios set to default and the cpu was running at half speed and the ram at 160 instead of 200, I manually set it to the correct setting and it now runs full speed.
