I was wondering what the correct way is to set up case fans. At the minute i have 1 fan in the pci slot below my GeForce 4. One sucking air out at the top under the power supply and one sucking air in in the front of the case, is this the best way to have them set up? It idles around 45 to 50 and under load about 55. Would making the fan under the power supply blow air onto the cpu help it cool down and the fan at the front suck air out?? Thanks

I would have to disagree with your advice gaz. I think the way he has his fans placed is correct.
Since hot air rises, it is better to have exhaust fans placed as high as possible inside the case. It is also the reason why intake fans should be placed as low as possible so as to bring cool air in.

I have a 1 big 12cm fan sucking in air on the side of my case across from the CPU and 1 case fan in the back under the power supply blowing out the air and it works like a charm my system is a 2100 AMD and it @ 37 degrees
