my computer keeps turning itself off for some reason when i try to do stuff on it
ive scanned it and found a few viruses called obfuskated and my CPU is nerly always between 80-100
could enyone help me with this?
(im not a real computer person so would help if u put it in simple terms for me please)ty

If that temp is 80-100F, it's not a problem. If it's 80-100C, you're gonna have to open the case & see what's going on inside. It could be your system is loaded with dust, or it could be the CPU cooling fan has failed.
Other than that, disable System Restore & do a full virus & spyware scan. You might wanna do it from Safe Mode.

i did a scan and found a trojan :o
and what is a system restore?
also, i have avg anti virus and virgin broadband anti virus..would they do the job fine?ty man

Rather than me trying to explain System Restore, you can read about it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...
Here's what you should do...
1. temporarily disable System Restore. Here's how:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405
2. download & install CCleaner (do NOT install Yahoo! toolbar during the process). Run the Cleaner, then click the Registry button & "scan for issues". Fix them ALL (there's no need to back them up). You can get it here:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_c...
After that's done, reboot.
3. run MSCONFIG & disable all unnecessary programs from loading at startup - this will explain:
http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/
After that's done, reboot again.
4. download/install & run this Trojan Remover (it's a fully functional 30-day trial):
5. boot into Safe mode & run another full scan with AVG.
6. if you don't have a spyware remover, download, install, update, then run one of the following:
Ad-Aware 2007
AVG Anti-Spy
Spybot Search & DestroyTake your pick:
http://www.filehippo.com/software/a...
7. once you're sure your system is free of viruses & spyware, boot into Safe Mode again & defrag the drive.
8. after completing all the above, re-enable System Restore & set a new restore point.
You should be good to go!

OMG ty man lol ill do that soon ty for spendng ure time writing all that for me :)
i think its also my fan tht is a bit dodgy
my CPU is through the roof

hmm i did all of that but the trojan thing said that i dint have a trojan on my omputer :S
also when i was doing the scan in safe mode my computer turned itself off..does this meen that its something to do with the hard drive or something thats wrong not viruses or trojans etc.
ty
