Comment: My computer shuts down unexpectedly. I'm suspecting that the problem is temperature related as it always happens when the room is cold. It seems to happen more often when I try to access external devices (for example my digital camera) or when I try to access the Internet (I use ATT cable modem). Weird ah? It has a 1.2 athlon processor. Could that be the reason?

Reply: (edit)This is a simple to answer!. I had this problem, you turned on the PC and after a few seconds it automaticly quits. Whats the problem you say?. Well, your computers PSU (Power Suppy Unit) is breaking down, and you will have to buy a new PSU at your local computer shop. Make sure you get a good brand like Enermax. Reply: (edit)Yes, I would say this to you, I think your best bet would be to buy a new power supply and a new CPU fan(if your pc has a CPU fan) and replace both. It is a good idea to replace the CPU fan also. Of course, you'll need to remove the old CPU fan and power supply when you take them into the store, to be sure you get the correct and exact fits.

Reply: (edit)Actually it's not always the power supply a lot of computer repair shops will tell you that, usually the Power supply just sent a power spike and it screwed up your FAT. Just reinstall the OS it usually works.
