26/05/2009 this morning i have opened my pc's processor Heat sink to clean i have cleaned and kept as it is several times before but this time , when i kept the heat sink and switch on my pc it get shut downed soon within 20 sec i have used thermal coolent also but when i run CRYSIS on my pc on high graphics its getting shutting downed again . what should i do for this my processor is pentium D Dualcore 2.8. can any one help me plz i offer them my thnx to the one who helps me
Sounds like you didn't reinstall the heatsink properly. Have you checked your temp readings? When applying paste to a dual core CPU, it's very important to align it properly. Have a look at the following instructions....is that how you did it? If not, remove the heatsink, remove the paste, then apply a new line of paste as shown:
