comp. locking up

Hello everyone, i have a amd xp 2000+, radeon 9000pro, 512 sdram, ecs motherboard and 300watts PSU. Now the problem- -The only time the comp. locks is when i play games like CS (counter-strike). when i reset from the lock up i go in bios to check the temp. and it's at like 131-134. isn't that crazy!!! -please help, thanks

Your temp is good...approx 55-57C...I see no problem with that. I suggest you run thru your BIOS settings...double check everything & try using "modest" settings at 1st....especially RAM settings. How many sticks do you have? 1 x 512, 2 x 256? If you have more than one stick...experiment with them. Try just one stick of RAM & see what happens...or try them in different slots. Your "best" stick should go in Bank-0.
