I am running a Zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU fan, that seems to catch the dust quite easily. I have tried in the past blowing the dust out between the fins, with pressurized cans of air, but all that seems to do is put the dust in the air, and it goes to other places in the computer case.

I have tried using a skinny knife blade to move the dust particals out towards the ends of the fins, but that is not the solution either.

Anyone out there have a fix on how to do this easier.... or better.... ?

Try pressurized cans of air + vaccum... First turn on the vaccum and have it face towards to the heatsink so it will suck in the dust, but appearently dusts are quite sticky so thats when the cans of pressurized air comes in... Also be prepare to have a brush to take off excessive dust before using the cans of air... If the fan can be taken off the heatsink, you can use water to clean it off...
