DUDE.. i bet you.. i can use less hardware than what you looking for. and get 10times the speed.
u want a good advice??

AMD never run at full performance unless 64-bit..

i.e 3400Mhz (overclocked) = 3000mhz(what it actually runs at)..

if u want speed, use the Intel Prescot 2.8e Ghz
if u want durability, then u can get the 3400Mhz cpu (but why pay so much for slower performance) $50-60 difference between amd and pentium.

a good agp card would be the Radeon 9800XT pro 128MB, or the Radeon x800 256MB
woth 512MB kingston pc3200 ddrII 400 RAM
and atleast 80+ gig hard disk..

You'll never be able to build a gaming machine that'll hold you for 5 yrs. You'd be better off building more on a budget now, then building again in a couple of years. There are many changes on the horizon (there always is)...DDR2, PCI Express, advancements in graphics, etc. Building a high end system is almost always a bad investment...what you spend $1000 on today will cost 1/2 that much in less than a year.

dont buy a intel if your in to games intel are overpriced for what they are and perform like snails in games the AMD will keep you running in a game.intels are better at office tasks , and dont get the prescot either cos its got heat issues which could mean a fried egg.

hmmmm....doughnuts

$300 for a motherboard isn't worth it. You might consider spending $120 on another mobo and spending $100 more on a faster vid card

U guys r stupid..

The intel prescot 2.8eghz($240) is good for 3d Modelling IE- BENCHMARKING. and the best Graphics card on the market is a 256MB Radeon X800 XT (which is $600) which has 16 pipelines which has a core clock of 1120Mhz. the Nvidea 6800 is cra* compared to the x800. trust me, i own my own network with over 47 computers. ive had every computer imaginable. like i said.. u want performance , go for the Prescot 2.8e, u want power, go for the AMD ATHLON. LOOK IT UP IN THE COMPARISON GUIDES.. and whoever called me a moron, is a bigger knucklehead then i thought.
