Hi Could some one please help?

My computer resets automatically with the error

I changed the battery too. It didn't work out. I have win-98 and Linux in my machine. Would appreicate a reply to my email too cathroad@yahoo.com

you need to go into the bios and tell it to ignore errors. this an asus board?

Thanks for your reply. I will check it. You mean the mother board? It's an 810 intel chipset board. Brand - Vintron. Anything else?

All you should have to do is find the BIOS setting and tell it to ignore the error and continue loading.

Hi,

I did that and still it didn't work. Might be due to improper functioning of RAM? (Just a guess, as it sometimes doesn't show well on the RAM test at start up). Please advise.

if you have pc100 (or very low quality pc133 for that matter)ram and are trying to run it at 133 or higher then yes, it likely is the ram...
