Subject: change multi, system wont boot
OS: 2000
CPU/Ram: dur.700/512
Comment:

I unlocked my duron 700, however when I change the multiplyer, no matter what its changed to, the system wont even get post, and I must remove the cmos battery. If I leave it at default system boots fine.

"Ok, IVe worked with computers for some time "

You sure ask a lot of questions for a guy with your experience.

"I unlocked my duron 700" Did you do it right?

"OR maby you just have been doing the same thing so long you just cant accept that there might be a diffrent(not better, just diffrent) way to do it. "

you are not looking for betterment, just different.... well the difference is it does not work.

No pun intended, time to accept change to the year of 2004, to change is to be better not different.

If you ever actualy answer any questions besides those related to cooling or in this overclocking forum, you would probly see that I answer about 10 a day, always giveing detailed explanations of my answer.

However I have admited that I know very little about overclocking, witch is what all my questions are about.

Yes, I believe I unlocked it correctly
and yes I have very little exp. overclocking

By the way Ive read that link, witch is how I learned to unlock the cpu in the first place.

You did not answer my question, infact all you aver realy do is rant and rave about frount mounted fans or mindlessly repeat things others have said.

Do not get so cinical just because your tiney little mind is unable to do any real thinking, but are infact limited to that of parrot.

Ive asked a question, however since you are unable to think of any plausable explanations for my problem you can only justify your inibility to solve the problem by asumeing that I must have made a mistake.

But hay Im not trying to make you mad or anything, infact ......... let my get you a cracker.

Quite true, and I see once again that you are unable to say anything even remotly inteligent, yet only point out that I cant spell, witch as you have already stated, means nothing.

"because your tiney little mind is unable to do any real thinking,"

Does this sound a judgement.

"I didnt realize we were judged on our spelling."

It sounds like it wasn't unlocked properly. All you have to do is connect the four L1 bridges with a pencil or conductive paint. As you know, they are very small...did you have a close look with a magnifying glass to make sure the bridges were connected & that there's no cross connections?

Have a look at this just to be sure you did it correctly:
