Which is faster. The Intel Celeron D 335 2.8Ghz, or the AMD Sempron 64 2800+? What is a good motherboard chipset for the Sempron? Is the Sempron 64 a good cpu?

That's debateable. The Tom's Hardware CPU comparison is only semi-useful in this instance. The Sempron64 isn't even available as a choice & the 2800+ A64 is a better CPU than the S64. But I'm curious as to why you chose that particular test? If you try the others, you'll find that the 2800+ A64 comes out on top in most of them
Summary: I wonder why we haven't heard of a Sempron 64 bit processor from AMD. The reason I asked is because Celeron D's will be 64 bit starting in the 1Q of this year and AMD as far as I know isn't producing ...
