i have a willmatte P4 1.5 here in my unusual mobo, its brand is OCTEK, from Hongkong. its bios supports CPU clock changing from 100-132mhz. i OCed it at 107mhz and when WinXP loads, it restarts.it can only be OCed to 1.55ghz. i think my damn very cheap mobo is the problem. do you think so? somebody told me to buy a new board that supports 533FSB so i can OC my 1.5 to 2.0ghz. i saw his CPU, and it really was running 2.0! he has also a P4 1.5(willamette) and only has a cheap 533FSB ECS mobo. tnx

Your friend is right. If you buy a mobo with 533 FSB then your CPU will automatically run at 2.0Ghz without any problems and everything will be normal. On my motherboard I have 400Mhz/533Mhz settings. I also have a P4 1.7Ghz Willamette. I went into the BIOS and without messing with the FSB I changed the settings from 400Mhz to 533Mhz settings and now it runs at 2.26GHZ without any trouble. MY PCI, AAGP buses are normal. Hope this helps and if you still need some help then let me know. You can find a pretty cheap mobo that supports 533Mhz for $60.00-$70.00 or even lower. Go to ebay.com for some cheap deals.
