Consider a bigger PSU.

What are your temps?

my temps for the CPU is around 30 to 50 C and the temps for the system is usually around 40 to 60 C. and...i don't have any cash so i can't afford to buy a new psu. maybe in 2 months.

Its most likely power supply or possibly ram/ram settings. Do you know what your power supply model is?

As for the multiplier, your board most likely does not support adjustments in the BIOS

i don't know the exact model number for the PSU, but it is a generic 300 watt. as for the BIOS, i have a "hacked" ECS K7AMA bios that allows me to change the FSB speed from 100 to 146

Your generic PSU may not be up to the demands that you are placing on it.

oh...well maybe sometime in the next couple months i'll get a new motherboard and a new PSU. what are some good motherboards and PSU's?

Also, should I invest in a case offering better cooling?
