Hi there,
Im trying to get a CPU (internal freq. 1.33GHz running at this freq. on my PC. It is an Athlon AMD on ASUS V7 motherboard bus 133MHz and SDRAM pc133MHz.
Any ideas why I cant get this CPU running at 133GHz.
I tried setting the External; Freq. to 133MHz and multiple to 10, as you would expect. Motherboard bus is 133MHz and SDRAM at PC133.
But PC wont boot unless configured to run at 100MHz external freq. event hough its internal freq. is capable of 133GHz?

The a7v uses the kt133 chipset which was announced as supporting both 100mhz and 133mhz processors, but was unstable at 133mhz maybe 20%-40% of the time. Then via replaced the kt133 with the kt133a. he "a" in kt133a stood for
"And now it works"
Some mobo makers now have their cpu table showing the kt133 as not supporting 133mhz cpus at all, which is probably smart of them.
