ok first of all my spec -

amd 2400+, Gigabyte GA-7vrxp, geforce3 ti200, 550W psu.

Im trying to overclock my pc but i cannot get past 146 - as when i do the system tries to boot but doesnt actually get there - it will crash before it reaches windows. Now i think this is somehow related to my greaphics card but not sure how....

i am able to change the clcok speeds on my agp card - and when doing so i am able to overclock my pc further. however, i need to have a good video card on my pc also as well as a fast cpu.

now im not sure if there is a setting in the BIOS which is causing the problem as i have tried them and come to no conclusive result.

I was hoping to push amd 3000 or at least amd 2800 from my cpu so please help me in this matter - thank you..

also my pc is currently stable at 146 X 15 with the graphics card at the factory setting.

like i said before please someone help......

I decided to download the manual to try to help you figure this out. It mentions an "Advanced BIOS" settings menu if you require more settings. What are included in the "Advanced BIOS" settings? It says to press "Ctrl+F1" during bootup instead of "Del" to get into it.

I have that same board on my other machine. So far mine is running at 150x11.5. What i would do is put your harddrivers on the promise control first so you dont have any problems with files getting currupt. I am using crucial pc2700, trying uping you memory voltage mine is set to 2.7.

thanks guys -

ok - HotShot - wot CPU r u using?? coz with my AMD2400 i cant set my clockspeed any thing other than the auto setting, if i do my pc wont boot up.

Ram voltage is set to 2.7v.

To get into the advanced features i think the manual is wrong as if i hit ctrl+f1 nothing happens during boot up - however if i do ctrl+f1 already in the bios then i am given advanced features.....thanks you jam for input..

Ok next things - the advanced bios setup has the following features but im not sure how to configure to be totally honest - would be great if any of you guys can help the bios setup is as follows:

Top performance: Disabled

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5
