What did you expect? You have a crappy motherboard based on an SiS chipset & you only have 512MB RAM. You haven't mentioned what video card you're running but if you're using the onboard graphics, that's your main problem...get a *real* video card!

You do NOT need clockgen to overclock...your FSB is adjustable from 100MHz up to 200MHz in 1MHz steps. Try reading your manual. And if you don't have one, go to the Gigabyte website & download a copy....

Sorry, I read too quickly...I see you have the manual. I doubt the CPU speed is your problem, my guess is that you're using the crappy onboard video. If that's the case, overclocking isn't gonna help, you need to buy a decent AGP video card.

And you can't just jump straight to 133Mhz. There are other settings that have to be considered as well. Do you know how to recover if you over-overclock & your system becomes unbootable?

Look in your BIOS under Frequency/Voltage Control...

Set Linear Frequency Control to ENABLED...when you do that, you'll be able to adjust the CPU Clock (FSB), DRAM Clock (RAM), AGP Clock, & PCI Clock. For best performance, the CPU & DRAM should be set to the same speed. AGP should be set to 66MHz, PCI to 33MHz.

Sounds like your "cuz" doesn't know any more about PCs than you do.

Have you read the motherboard manual yet? Do you even know how to access the BIOS? Check out Chapter 3 & look specifically at page 23. It shows the Main Menu...Frequency/Voltage Control is one of the main menu choices.

To access the BIOS, press the DEL key during bootup, then use your arrow keys to manuever around the BIOS menu.

The GF 6200 is a weak 64-bit card & isn't very good for gaming. The fact that it has 256MB memory means nothing...the fact that it's 64-bit means everything!

You have a weak motherboard, a weak CPU, a weak video card, & not enough RAM...add it all up & it equals poor gaming performance. Overclocking isn't gonna help your situation & I don't think you know enough about PCs to even be considering it in the 1st place.
