can't find a proper motherboard

i am making a computer comprising of two sli technology xfx 8800 gt 512mb graphich cards with 1 tb seagate hard disk plus 4 gb of ram.
I actualy don't know about that but reading some reviews i came to know that xfx geforce 8800 gt take two slots . i don't understand that it is taking more space in cabinet or occupying two slots in motherboard.i have decided this graphic card and the hard drive.But i don't know about the ram plus main thing the processor plus the motherboard which will support this kind of configuration and not too much costly. can any one tell me about the best mother board for this and also a good company for ram of 4gb or 2bg into 2.
plus the motherboard should support sli tech. and have ports accordingly.

You didn't list the make/model cards you have but some video cards do take two slots. But that doesn't mean 2 physical slots on the motherboard, it means two physical slots in the rear of the case. So if you have a PCI slot directly beneath the PCI-Express slot, the "double-wide" video card will block the PCI slot making it unusable.
