Hi im looking into overclocking a pc as a alternative for buying my brother a new one pc, im getting a new one and his getting this one, but i dont know if i will just end up messing the pc up. The only thing i really want to overclock is the processor, here is some hardware info

Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz

RAM : 2x 512mb, all i know is that this ram is ddr400

Motherboard : i think it has a gigabyte nforece3 250, idk if it is this as i dont know pc insides well, but a friend told me it might be

Graphics Card : Nvidia GeForce 7800 GS

watt supply : cant remember but can always get more if needed

cooling : also not a problem

like i said in the start, the only thing i would really like to overclock is the processor as high as i can but if anything else can i would like to try, thnx in advance for post! :D

p.s be ruthless / honest xD

Can't help without knowing the exact model number of the board & the core the CPU is based on. If the board has all the necessary overclocking options & the CPU is a Venice core, you *should* be able to hit 2.75GHz.
