Reply: (edit)Does the mother board support the 100mhz bus AND the voltages needed for the K6-2 500? The K6-2s need to have a low voltage supplied to the core, 2.2 v in most cases, while the i/o voltage is 3.3v. The P-1s (P54C)used 3.35v to 3.6 v for both. Check your manual or the board maker's web site for specs on your board's optional settings. Also, amd.com has specs for the socket seven processors.
