I currently have an Asus A7V133-C 266FSB with an Athlon 1.4Ghz in it, and SD133 ram (cant get DDR). My CPU is dead, and im looking at upgrading my CPU to an Athlon XP 2400+ which has 266 FSB - but im not sure if i can, because i will probably have to upgrade/flash the bios and im not sure whether it will still work...can someone who knows and/or has done it please tell me can i upgrade?? - What can I do?

I have the same mobo...it's supports the XP Palomino core only. I mistakenly bought an XP Thoroughbred & had nothing but probs with it...then I posted here & it was pointed out to me that this board only supports the model 6 CPU (Palomino). I ended up getting a different mobo for the T-bred & an Athlon 1.333 for the Asus board...both are running great!
