The processor should be OK, but you may or may not have hardware/driver issues. Run Windows 7 Compatibility Tester at MS Windows 7 site to be sure before you spend the money.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

If it can run Vista, it should be able to run Win 7.

I run Win7 Pro on an overclocked P3 system with 2 gigs of RAM. Runs great, Aero and all.

Win 7 Pro | HDMI out to Onkyo TX-SR707 receiver & Samsung Series 5/63"

Ram prices are hitting an all time low. (Depending upon what DDR genereation you have) I mean to show you how much ram prices have falling, you can now get 8gb of DDR3 ram for exp for as low as 125 dollars. Around this time last year 8gb of DDR3 ram was hitting nearly 300 dollars.

I take it you are running Windows 7 32bit edition. If so 2gb of ram is fine if all lyou are doing is mainly surfing the web, watching videos and doing light stuff on your pc. If you are running Windows 7 64 bit edition upgrading to 4gb of ram would be optimal.
